Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer - who was himself Director of Public Prosecutions between 2008 and 2013 - said the criminal justice system has shown a 'robust and swift response' in the face of ongoing unrest. 'Some is planned but also a lot is sporadic in terms of local people seeing stuff online and turning up out of the blue. It's quite a nuanced picture.'
