The Ofgem energy price cap is set to rise again in January
Millions of people have just one month left to take action to avoid being overcharged on their energy bills. As we approach the festive season and the New Year, customers of British Gas , OVO, EDF , EON, and Octopus have been issued a stark warning.
An up-to-date meter reading ensures that suppliers can bill customers accurately based on a more precise understanding of their usage, consumers have been advised. If it's been some time since you've submitted a reading, it's recommended to do so before the new price cap takes effect on January 1. He added, "With unaffordable energy bills and far less support available nationally this winter, millions of people are already rationing their energy use to dangerous levels or getting deeper into debt trying to keep warm.", reports Birmingham Live.
