British Gas, OVO and Octopus Energy are pushing customers to check if they qualify for a range of freebies and extra support this winter
Some of the country’s top energy suppliers are offering a range of new benefits and freebies for their customers to help combat the rising cost of energy after Ofgem’s 10% price cap rise last month. British Gas, OVO and Octopus Energy among others are urging customers to check if they qualify for additional assistance with £120million combined support available.
British Gas British Gas is reopening its Energy Support Fund which offers grants of up to £2000 to help customers clear outstanding energy debt. This is available to both credit and pre-payment metre accounts. Jessica Taplin, CEO of the British Gas Energy Trust, told GB News: "This winter is likely to be as challenging as the last, and the British Gas Energy Trust are committed to helping people get back on top of their energy bills before the really cold weather arrives."
