BREAKING: A British man has died following a paragliding accident in Portugal. Emergency services were called at around 9pm on Tuesday night after an eyewitness saw the paraglider crash into the ground.
The man, who has not been identified, was found on the ground in an area of ‘difficult access’ and had already gone into cardiac arrest.The incident happened in an area known as Vale Bom in the municipality of Cadaval.An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
It’s been reported that the victim may have been taking part in powered paragliding, also known as paramotoring, where the pilot wears a backpack motor which provides enough thrust to take off.
