While enjoying a friend's birthday at the Mayfair’s Park Lane hotel, London, with a media crowd including panellists on the Jeremy Vine show, she was told about the picture which she described as: 'unimaginably mortifying.' Speaking to The Times, Ms Kaur said: 'It is like being assaulted every day, every time I tweet or go online, being called names again and again to the point where either I come off social media altogether — but that’s part of my job — or I carry on.''It’s possible I didn’t have the right underwear that night, well over a decade ago, and worried the seam would show through the dress.
After the complaint was made a spokesman for the MET police said: 'We have been made aware of a post on social media regarding an up-skirting offence and we are currently investigating the circumstances.'After her article in The Times was published, Ms Kaur expressed her feelings about the matter in a series of tweets today, in which she said she felt 'humiliated.
There was outrage after Mr Fox posted the photo which he has deleted having at first stood by his decision to upload it saying: 'It's not my fault she forgot to put her pants on'.But many supported Ms Kaur and expressed similar sentiments of shock and outrage.
