"Broken Blooms" bagged eight awards at the Saskatchewan International Film Festival.
According to Nelson Canlas's report on "24 Oras Weekend," Sunday, the independent film won Best Cinematography, Best Full Length Film, and Best Musical Score.Jeric Gonzales and Teri Malvar were hailed as the Best Lead Actor and Actress, while Boobay and Jaclyn Jose were recognized as the Best Supporting Actor and Actress.
Engr. Benjie Autria, producer of Broken Blooms, hope that Filipinos will support the film by watching it in cinemas. "Dapat panoorin kasi itong 'Broken Blooms,' napapanood sa ibang bansa then we have a lot of recognition, award, so dapat dito rin sa Pilipinas ma-recognize naman," he said.
