Two brothers, Muhammad Amaad and Mohammed Amaaz, have pleaded not guilty to assault charges related to an alleged incident with police at Manchester Airport. The brothers will face trial in June.

Two brothers, Muhammad Amaad, 25, and Mohammed Amaaz, 20, have pleaded not guilty to assault charges stemming from an alleged altercation with police at Manchester Airport in July of last year. The brothers, both dressed in black suits, white shirts, and black ties, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday morning for a nine-minute hearing. Video footage of the incident, which involved both police officers and members of the public, sparked the charges.

Mohammed Amaaz faces four charges: two counts of causing actual bodily harm, one count of assaulting an emergency worker, and one count of common assault. He denies all charges. The alleged victims include Abdulkareem Hamzah Abbas Ismaeil, a member of the public, as well as police officers PC Zachary Marsden, PC Lydia Ward, and PC Ellie Cook. Muhammad Amaad pleaded not guilty to one count of causing actual bodily harm to PC Zachary Marsden. Both brothers were granted bail and will stand trial on June 30th
