Builders in the Leigh and Bransford area near Worcester were amazed to uncover one of the largest collections of Roman coins ever discovered in Britain, worth over £100,000. The hoard includes 1,368 Iron Age and Roman coins dating back to the reign of Emperor Nero , making it one of the most significant discoveries in a century. The coins, primarily silver denarii from the Roman Republic period and Nero's reign, are believed to have belonged to a wealthy farmer who supplied the Roman army.
