The revival of ITV’s classic darts show, Bullseye, has sparked debate among viewers who feel the teenage darts sensation Luke Littler is overshadowing the competition.
ITV ’s ‘ Bullseye ’ returned to British TV screens on Sunday evening, but fans all had the same gripe about the show. Bullseye first launched in 1981 and ran for 14 years before it was cancelled. However, a revamped version of the iconic programme was aired on, “ Bullseye sees three teams, consisting of an amateur darts player and a quiz-loving partner, play against each other in a bid to win a series of prizes'.
One of the teams consisted of brothers Kenny and Tony, who Flintoff asked three questions about Littler. The Runcorn-based darts sensation, would later be handed a dart to try and win the pair a prize from the board.on Saturday, got the brothers off to a flying start before they eventually secured several prizes ranging from a smartphone to a luxury Christmas hamper, tickets to Alexandra Palace, Littler's shirt and darts, electric toothbrushes, a fridge freezer full of chips, a hair-styling kit, a kitchen bundle and a trip to Cornwall. Despite the light-hearted nature of the show, viewers all made the same observation as they gave their thoughts on social media.Another added: “Luke Littler might as well present the show, call the scores, throw the darts and answer all the questions. ITV are wringing him out”A third exclaimed: “Complete over acting, was more about the host and Luke Littler than the actual purpose of Bullseye.” While another defended the teenager: “That Luke Littler is amazing, his hand/eye coordination is beyond any levels.” A fifth also praised the youngster: “I thought the show worked. It was light and fun, in my opinion. Luke was amazing to watch and come across as a nice guy.” The Warrington-born starlet will take on Ian White in the third round of the World Darts Championship, with the match expected to be played between Friday December 27 and Sunday 2
