The move would create 27 jobs
Mansfield could soon be hosting another fast food outlet as developers seek permission for a Burger King they say would create 27 jobs. Three branches of McDonald's, three Subways, two KFCs and two Domino's Pizzas are among the fast food eateries already based in Mansfield.
Ransom Wood is a 70-acre woodland space that has been home to a restaurant, children's' nursery and several office buildings since being run as a family business park from 1999. As part of its continued development, planning permission was granted in 2020 for three restaurants and a branch of the Enterprise car rental company to be based on land fronting the Ransom Wood Business Park.
Documents from Dovetail Architects, acting as agents for The Burney Group, state that the new Burger King would create 27 full-time jobs. No access road would need to be built for the new site, with the opportunity to instead extend the road that currently serves the Greggs, Costa and Dunkin' Donuts.
