Michael Pedley had been a teacher at the now-closed Needwood School for the Partial Hearing at the time of the incidents.

The student said Pedley "did not say anything to her" and that "she just froze." He then "got dressed and acted as if nothing had happened", she told the panel. "When she tried to write her name, her handwriting was dreadful and all the other pupils were laughing at her." Engaged in inappropriate physical contact towards a pupil after she had left Needwood School, including by attending her home and kissing and cuddling her.
