Police attending a crash north of Brisbane on Thursday repeatedly struck one of the drivers and deployed a Taser while he remained in the front seat of a damaged car.

Dashcam footage shows the driver’s vehicle turning a corner at speed before hitting stationary vehicles stopped at the lights. Separate footage shows an officer repeatedly striking the man through the open passenger side window.“On arrival, officers will allege they were confronted by an aggressive driver of one of the vehicles. Police were forced to use a Taser and physical force to take him into custody,” the spokesperson said.
