The Mystics’ modest two-game win streak came to an end on Wednesday night as Clark and the Fever won their third straight and fifth out of seven.

The Mystics , who endured an 0-12 start, saw their two-game winning streak end.“Definitely time ,” Clark said before the game. “You can even see me and Aliyah just having a better connection, reading where each other’s going to be, reading each other’s eyes a little bit better.
The Mystics’ progress has been slowed by injuries, with two of their biggest contributors missing extended time. Brittney Sykes missed her 12th game and Shakira Austin missed her ninth. Their absences are felt especially on offense, where Ariel Atkins and Karlie Samuelson could have used some help beyond the 14 points Stef Dolson contributed .
Clark scored a career-high 30 points in the first meeting between the two teams, but put together a more all-around game this time with 18 points, a career-high 12 rebounds, six assists and four steals to go with six turnovers. Boston set the tone early and finished with 22 points and eight rebounds while Mitchell dropped 22 on 8-for-11 shooting, including four three-pointers. Smith added 11 points and seven rebounds.
