Police discovered a large cannabis farm hidden in the loft of a house in Bolton, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old woman.
A woman has been arrested after a huge cannabis farm was uncovered in the loft of a home in Bolton . Police raided the house on Arthur Street, in Little Lever on Sunday morning (January 5). Despite 'sophisticated attempts' to hide the grow, which appeared to be set up in a loft, officers stormed the property and found the sizeable farm up a ladder on the upper floor. A woman, aged 40, was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and abstraction of electricity.
She currently remains in custody for questioning. A post shared by GMP Bolton said: 'This morning, officers from the South Neighbourhood Team have executed a S8 Police and Criminal Evidence Act Warrant at an address on Arthur Street, Little Lever. 'Despite sophisticated attempts to conceal its location and access points, a cannabis farm was located inside the address, consisting of approximately 40 plants. The electricity also appeared to have been bypassed. 'A female, aged 40, has been arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and abstraction of electricity. She remains in custody for questioning.
