TROY, Ala. - It is difficult to find a team more hungrier than the Troy Trojans women’s basketball team in the 2024 Women’s National Invitation Tournament . After multiple losses in this tournament years prior, Troy created history Monday night by winning 92-62 over Florida International University in the second.
The postseason tournament win marks the first in Troy women’s program history, as prior to Friday night the Lady Trojans were 0-7 all-time. The win also pushes Troy to their eighth 20-plus win season under head coach Chanda Rigby.
