MORE RECOGNITION: Organisers believe now is the perfect time for Caribbean Food to have its own awards
The new awards will honour the best entrepreneurs and top takeaways across Britain, and comes as new figures estimate Caribbean food to be worth a staggering £100 million in the UK. She said: “This is the very first five-star event celebrating the best in Caribbean food and drink in the UK. The ladies are also the founders of The Caribbean Food Collective which connects, promotes, and supports UK based Caribbean Food & Drink businesses and is a voice for the UK based Caribbean Food & Drink sector.
The Caribbean Export Development Agency has also found that there has been a growing trend for Caribbean food in the UK, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands over the past few years.
