Savvy shoppers have been snapping up the bargains at Darwen's Co-op as staff prepare to close the store for good.
The store will be closed for a week while conversion work is carried out. Shoppers have today been clearing the shelves with all fresh food, bread and flowers reduced to unbelievable prices.Bunches of tulips, which should have been £3 each, were on sale for 75p while two pints of milk, which normally costs £1.45, were being sold for 36p. A £1.50 bag of apples was priced at 38p while a £3.25 pasta bowl was reduced to 81p.
