British Transport Police release CCTV image seeking information from public following an assault on a train traveling between Glasgow Central and Greenock Central on December 20th.

British Transport Police (BTP) are seeking information from the public following an assault on a train. The incident occurred on a 11.50pm service traveling between Glasgow Central and Greenock Central railway stations on Friday, December 20th. Authorities have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have witnessed the assault and possess valuable information. The man in question is described as 6ft 1in tall with a stocky build, a beard, and a Scottish accent.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark-colored top and tan chinos. However, in the released CCTV footage, he is seen wearing glasses, a light blue jacket, and dark cargo-style trousers. BTP urges the individual in the image, or anyone who recognizes him, to come forward.Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 56 of 20 December 2024.
