This is the moment murder suspect Ian Fitzgibbon fled the country days after Ashley Dale was shot dead.
The prosecution case is that Witham and a second man, Joseph Peers, 29, were "dispatched" to kill Harrison by three men - Niall Barry, 26; Sean Zeisz, 28 and Fitzgibbon, 28 - who were allegedly directing the hit from a flat in Pilch Lane, Huyton. During his opening, Paul Greaney, KC, prosecuting, told the jury Fitzgibbon had made several calls to Witham and Peers after they left the flat and were allegedly "on their way to kill Lee Harrison". He had also give Witham a lift earlier that day to Taskers sports shop in Aintree, where Witham bought a pair of On Cloudflyer trainers he wore during the shooting.
The jury has heard Witham fired 15 bullets in the house, 10 downstairs and five in an upstairs bedroom. The bullet that killed Ashley was determined to have struck her in the kitchen, as she turned to flee out of the back door, before lodging in a bar stool. The prosecution has claimed a fight or assault at Glastonbury festival in late June last year triggered animosity between Zeisz and Harrison's friend Jordan Thompson, which "reignited" the feud between Barry and Harrison.
