Both Celtic and Rangers have been 'propelled' into UEFA's top 20 gate receipt rankings alongside elite European sides.
And it makes positive reading for both clubs with fan backing firing both clubs into an elite list - led by Barcelona.The report reveals a Є48m gate receipts income for Ibrox coffers with Celtic banking Є47m.
Rangers were previously 13th with Celtic 16th, however AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus all recorded seismic shifts in their gate receipts income in 2023. Conversely, Paris Saint Germain bank Є140.20 in their average revenue per fan leading to their increased standing in the rankings. "The gate receipts of the top 20 clubs by gate revenue grew by an extremely healthy 32% in 2023, with only four clubs reporting declines.And a UEFA statement explained: "This list of the top 20 clubs features many of the usual suspects, but the large supporter bases of Olympique de Marseille, Rangers FC, Celtic FC and AFC Ajax have propelled those clubs into the list.
