Celtic are plotting to hijack Rangers’ deal for Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri,, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the Scottish champions are working to bring Mejbri to Celtic Park rather than Ibrox.
The player is said to be keen on a move to either Celtic or Rangers as they both offer the opportunity to play European football. Mejbri spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish club Sevilla but failed to score in his six appearances at the club.
