Channel 5 is set to debut its latest crime thriller, Ellis, starring Sharon D Clarke as DCI Ellis, who takes the reins of floundering investigations. She portrays a seasoned murder detective whose expertise and compassion shine despite facing prejudice.
Production of the series, featuring lengthier episodes, concluded in May, and Gower took to Instagram to announce: "That's a wrap on Ellis." The drama showcases various locales across Northern Ireland and The Peak District, with Clarke lauding the filming sites as "stunning", reports the Mirror. Established upon older fortification remains from the 16th century initially known as Edenduffcarrick, the estate provided an impressive backdrop for scenes, captivating the actors as they traversed the forest to reach the riverbanks.
