BBC Breakfast host Charlie Stayt accidentally said he would be speaking to guide dogs themselves during a segment about the need for volunteer puppy raisers.
BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt suffered a slight blunder during Friday's show. While informing viewers about over a thousand visually impaired people waiting for assistance from assistant dogs and an urgent appeal for volunteer puppy raisers , Charlie played a clip of Phil Mackie speaking to the guide dog charity. When the clip ended, Charlie informed viewers the subject would be discussed further later in the show.
Naga commented, 'I mean, you've got beautiful puppies doing a good thing, can't go wrong!' Charlie replied, 'It's worth saying a little later on this morning, at 8:40, we'll be talking to guide dogs themselves-' However, he quickly corrected himself, stating he and Naga would be speaking to the guide dog organization instead. Naga, picking up on the blunder, replied, 'I was going to say good luck if you're going to have a conversation with a guide dog!
