Chelsea welcome back Marc Cucurella for their Boxing Day clash with Fulham, while Enzo Maresca considers his options for a tricky London derby.
Chelsea will face Fulham on Boxing Day in a bid to close the gap to Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table. Enzo Maresca's side had the chance to go top on Sunday but were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton. The result marked Chelsea 's first dropped points in six league outings, though they extend their unbeaten run to 12 games in all competitions.
Facing a quick turnaround, Chelsea may consider rotating their squad, but the tough task against ninth-placed Fulham might see Maresca stick with his first-choice lineup. The Italian will welcome back Marc Cucurella, who missed the trip to Everton after his sending-off against Brentford. Cucurella is expected to return at left-back, potentially allowing Malo Gusto to move back to right-back and Axel Disasi to the bench. Tosin Adarabioyo and Levi Colwill could continue their partnership in central defense, with Benoit Badiashile and Wesley Fofana still sidelined. Fofana has been out since injuring his hamstring against Aston Villa early in December, while Badiashile sustained an unknown injury in training before last weekend's match
