Wesley Fofana undergoes reconstruction surgery in huge blow for Chelsea CFC
Chelsea's pre-season preparations have taken a huge blow as Wesley Fofana has undergone surgery on his ACL.Fofana has struggled with his fitness since joining ChelseaFofana struggled with a knee injury and was sidelined for large parts of the campaign, and is now set for a longer spell out of action.
Chelsea travelled to the United States on Monday for their pre-season tour, but Fofana did not travel due to his latest injury.: "Defender Wesley Fofana has undergone anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. "The 22-year-old did not travel to America for the club's pre-season tour due to specialist medical assessments, which unfortunately confirmed that an operation would be required.
