Chelsea and Manchester City shared an incredible eight-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge while Liverpool are up to second and are turning Anfield back into a fortress.
Chelsea, Man City serve up game for the agesReece James wrote in his matchday programme notes that Chelsea's 4-1 win over Tottenham on Monday was the craziest game he had ever been involved in. Five days later, he has a new one. Chelsea had not even scored a goal in their last six meetings with Manchester City. This time they scored four, to follow the four they rattled past Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
That's their joint best-ever run of wins of that nature there. Of course, Mohamed Salah's form is a driving force in this. He's scored in each of those first six Anfield league games, another record to add to his pile of landmarks. Intriguingly Liverpool go to Manchester City after the international break. There will be no home comforts there.
