Fourteen council seats were contested
The people of Chorley have headed out in their droves and votes have been cast. Counting has taken place and the results are due.
Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 2. . Ahead of the election, Labour was in control of chorley-council>Chorley Council who had 37 seats out of a total 42.Other elections are taking place across Lancashire however there is no vote for Lancashire County Council this year - with the next ballot taking place in 2025.
