The attack started in the beer garden of the Rose and Crown pub in Chorley before spilling onto the car park
Lancashire Constabulary have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident at the Rose and Crown. It was reported that the victim was first punched in the pub's beer garden.
Officers say the incident then spilled onto the nearby car park where the man was 'kicked in the head' by a second suspect. The victim suffered a double fracture to the jaw and fractured cheek bone.The incident happened at around 7.50pm on Sunday, September 18. Following a three-week investigation, police have today issued an appeal to the 'numerous people' in the pub and beer garden at the time to come forward with information.
A police force spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses to an assault outside a Chorley pub in which a man suffered serious facial injuries. It happened around 7.50pm on Sunday, September 18 at the Rose and Crown pub. "The victim was first punched in the pub’s beer garden, with the incident spilling to the car park where he was kicked in the head by a second suspect. He suffered a double fracture to the jaw and fractured cheek bone.
"There were numerous people in the pub and beer garden at the time and we are urging witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information, please call 101 or email [email protected] – quoting log 0241 of September 26."
