The 35-year-old defender suffered a severe injury to his standing leg while attempting to cross the ball during his team's 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage on Saturday. The match was stopped for 12 minutes while the star was given oxygen.
Basham gave a thumbs-up to fans as he was taken off the pitch and replaced by Jack Robinson. Basham joined the South Yorkshire side in 2014 and has since played more than 390 games - featuring in every one this season.
