BBC sports presenter Clare Balding has kept her cancer battle rather private, but she previously revealed she'd been diagnosed with cancer, with worries about it affecting her job
Clare Balding first graced our screens with highlights from Royal Ascot back in 1995 and quickly galloped her way to the top as one of the country's leading sports reporters for the BBC and Channel 4.
Through it all, Clare remained incredibly pragmatic, even cautioning those around her against feeling sorry for her. She added: "It is. But I just decided not to worry about things. And I haven't. I have kept going. I have not freaked out, cried a lot or felt 'woe is me.'" She explained: "So far there have been no real side effects. I've been wheezing slightly but other than that I feel fine. My main worry is my voice because that is what I do."
