Mould can be a real problem in bathrooms due to the damp conditions, especially when it gets into the silicone sealant between tiles and around baths and showers. This sealant is often white or light-coloured, so it can easily become discoloured by dirt and mould over time.

Before you start cleaning black mould, make sure you're wearing gloves, a face mask and protective glasses to avoid breathing in any mould spores. To make the cleaning solution, just mix two parts vinegar with one part water and put it in a clean spray bottle for easy use. She said: "Roll toilet paper into a sausage shape, pour vinegar onto the paper, and place it onto the affected sealant, allowing it to soak in."
