The Belgian boss swooped for the defender on a free from AC Milan as part of his early summer recruitment drive.
Clinton Nsiala has detailed the key Philippe Clement trait that was a big factor in him deciding to sign for Rangers.
Nsiala has revealed his huge sense of pride in joining a club with 'lots of titles and lots of prestige' while he can't wait for his first experience in front of the fans. Speaking to Rangers TV, he said: “First of all, there’s a huge sense of pride .This club is legendary, with lots of titles and lots of prestige, including in Europe. I’m honestly very honoured to sign for this club. I know it’s a club that the fans are very committed to.
"It helps to have a coach like Philippe Clement. He gives a lot of support to young players, and that doesn’t make it feel like a big step. Having a coach like that will help me progress, so I’m not focused on the step up from academy to senior level.” He added: “I had some unforgettable experiences , particularly the first time I was in a matchday squad was in the Champions League against Newcastle. Those are moments I’ll never forget. I was in the squad for Europa League and Serie A games too.
