The town branch closed in July last year
A Stapleford branch of the Post Office will not be returning to the town for the foreseeable future after the previous postmaster resigned. The facility on Derby Road first closed last July after the resignation, which also saw the postmaster withdrawing their premises for Post Office use.
The news has been confirmed in a letter from Richard Clark, the Network Provision Lead for the Post Office, published on Wednesday . Mr Clark says: "The vacancy in Stapleford has been advertised on our website and a member of the field team has also personally visited the area."I can confirm that whilst we have had some local interest, we are not currently able to progress any options to restore a Post Office service locally.
