Mhairi joked that she'd missed Chris for a Tunnock's Caramel Wafer run.
An Isle of Bute business owner is ruing her luck after missing a visit from Hollywood A-lister Chris Pine for the second time - because she had to pop out to buy some Tunnock's Caramel Wafers.
She said: "It is quite amusing, it's not very often that I head to the cash and carry, but we'd run out of one of our essential treats, basically I missed Chris for a Tunnock's Caramel Wafer run. Mhairi explained that her barista Amanda Steigerwalt then messaged her that the star was in their shop while she was trying to fit the boxes of the Scottish favourite in the car.
Mhairi revealed that Chris and his friends had popped in to try some of their coffee, which they source from Dear Green in Glasgow, and some bagels with smoked salmon sourced from the local Bute Smoke House. Mhairi, who is just delighted that Chris was happy to stay for a while in her little store, added: "I just take all of these things in good humour, it was just such a lovely thing for the business and for my staff member Amanda, as she's originally from LA.
