Former Chelsea star Pat Nevin believes Cole Palmer's allegiance to Manchester United has diminished and he wouldn't consider a move to Old Trafford anytime soon. Nevin attributes this to Palmer's thriving career at Chelsea, where he has won individual accolades and become an England international.
Cole Palmer 's support of Manchester United 'is gone' and he wouldn't want to sign for United until the end of his career.
The 22-year-old was impressing on the fringes of City's first team during their treble winning 2022/23 campaign but was keen to move on and get regular football elsewhere. Since joining Chelsea, he has become an England international and was named PFA Fans' Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year last term.
"Maybe some part of him might want to go there at the end of his career but that really won’t be in his mind. In terms of how much it would take to prise Palmer away from Stamford Bridge, Nevin believes it would be a value in excess of £100million.“Having said that, the market has changed from English clubs being able to throw money at players without worrying too much about consequences, look at Everton and Newcastle who are having to be careful at the moment.
