The Columbus Metropolitan Library announced they have received an extra 10,000 solar eclipse glasses from COSI.

President Joe Biden gives remarks on the rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge and reopening the Port of Baltimore. The free glasses will be distributed on Friday starting at noon at the main library branch downtown located at 96 S. Grant Ave while supplies last.The library is also offering free eclipse kits at all of its 23 locations that features activities that customers can do at home, according to a statement from the Columbus Metropolitan Library .

The library says that due to the items included in the kits, they are only available to adults 18 years and older.The library is planning a special eclipse watch party for the eclipse at its main library at 96 S. Grant Ave. from 1 to 4 p.m. On Monday, central Ohio will experience a near total solar eclipse with the path of totality lasting around three to four minutes.
