The Awareness Day will warn townspeople of potential threats and scams later this month.

A Community Safety Awareness Day will take place this month at the Rutherglen Exchange Shopping Centre.

On Tuesday, June 25, from 10am to 1pm, the awareness event will be held in the main square of the centre.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7. The free download features the latest breaking news and exclusive stories, and allows you to customise your page to the sections that matter most to you.It has been organised by Cathkin and Springhall Neighbourhood Watch volunteer Barry Cathie, who will be amongst representatives from South Lanarkshire Council, Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
