The Royal Oak in Collingham faces ongoing changes with new management and staff support. Gusto Homes, responsible for the pub's day-to-day operations, sees community involvement as key to its success. Plans include volunteer support from shareholders and customers to ensure a thriving future for the pub.

The community is coming together to help secure the future of a Nottinghamshire pub and make it the best it can be. Over the past 12 months the Royal Oak in Collingham has undergone a number of changes including new management taking over in February and again in May.

He added: "They are very keen to gain experience and to grow. We have the ability to develop members of the team and support them. Mr Wright explained: "We need to work with the community to make it a success, so we had a meeting with the shareholders and we now have a lot of shareholders and customers who want to actually get involved with volunteering and supporting the pub going forward.

When asked about this, Mr Wright confirmed that it is still planned, but an official launch date has not been set yet. Reflecting on the history of the pub, he added: "I used to go into the Royal Oak back when I was 15 and I have known the pub for a long long time.
