David Chambers is accused of assisting an offender in connection with the murder of Elle Edwards
Connor Chapman's uncle has told a jury that £4,000 of cash which was discovered in his flat following his arrest in connection with the murder of Elle Edwards was from a litter of sausage dog puppies. The 26-year-old beautician died after being shot outside the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey , Wirral , on Christmas Eve 2022. Chapman was convicted of her murder in July last year and later jailed for life with a minimum term of 48 years.
These included £910 from the bottom drawer of a bedside cupboard, a further £1,500 from a wardrobe and envelopes containing £590 and £700 on a TV stand in the living room. His counsel Daniel Travers put to him on Tuesday: 'I am going to ask you about your arrest. The prosecution have referred to cash in the house.
