David Chambers is accused of assisting an offender in relation to the fatal shooting of Elle Edwards
Connor Chapman's uncle has told a jury that he visited the killer's home following the murder of Elle Edwards in order to pick up extra chairs for Christmas dinner. The 26-year-old beautician died after being shot outside the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey , Wirral , on Christmas Eve 2022. Chapman was convicted of her murder in July last year and later jailed for life with a minimum term of 48 years.
' When asked whether he had 'spoken to Connor Chapman or had any communication with him that day' prior to this, Chambers said 'no, none at all'. He reported that he was able to let himself into the back yard and that the chairs had been left beside the gate. Chambers meanwhile said he had not seen Chapman at this time and then left, collecting two other chairs from another of his sisters' homes before continuing onwards to Lewis Chapman's address.
