A recent plan by David Holmes of Ribble Valley Properties Ltd to develop 34 business units , battery storage, maintenance units, car parking, and road access at Higher College Farm in Longridge , Lancashire, has faced significant public opposition. The Ribble Valley Council has received 29 objection letters from the community, including the Hothersall Parish Council, which argues the development is unnecessary, visually unappealing, and economically unjustified.
Despite these objections, 21 letters of support have been submitted, citing potential economic benefits and job creation opportunities
