Toni Leanne Peacock and her partner Cooper Lindsay Millard have changed their pleas during the second day of their joint murder trial.Mr Millard has pleaded guilty to murder, Ms Peacock has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and the pair is expected to be sentenced this week.
The 58-year-old volunteer firefighter and personal trainer was found dead in his Pacific Haven home on April 3, 2021, after police responded to a triple-0 report that a male had been stabbed during a fight. After the jurors were sworn in, Justice Davis adjourned the case before opening statements were made.
During a committal hearing in 2023, Mr Carson was remembered as a "normally happy-go-lucky bloke" by his friend Linda Carsley, who testified before the court. Uber 'flouted the law' for years, say experts.
