A serving police officer has been charged with alleged sex offences following an incident at a swanky awards ceremony at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow
.
The 34-year-old had been nominated for a heroic act of bravery at the Scottish First Aid Awards on Friday, March 31, alongside three fellow officers, who all rushed to help a man with a severed artery. He had suffered severe self-inflicted wounds during a mental health episode and had ‘threatened to blow up the building’.
After two more officers arrived, all four provided life-saving treatment, stemming the blood loss until paramedics arrived.
