Constable David Jackson was dismissed without notice.
A police officer who shared a photo of his colleague in a bikini around the office shook his head as he was sacked from the force.
As reported in our sister title, the Liverpool Echo, he was accused of eight different allegations, including putting his hand in a colleague's face signalling for her to be quiet, calling her fat and a "token female" for being the only woman involved in a police operation.
Despite this, during a conversation about different roles within the police force, Constable Jackson said all officers should spend five years on response "regardless" and the officer's situation with her mental health was "no different". The officer told the hearing: "I thought it was really unfair and quite nasty. It made me feel that I wasn't welcome on the team.
PCP also told the hearing how Constable Jackson had called her fat on a number of occasions, which he denied. The panel found PCP's account to be true but said it did not amount to misconduct or gross misconduct. On the day of the operation itself, officers were having lunch when they got into a conversation about a colleague of theirs who had lost a lot of weight. The hearing heard how during the conversation Constable Jackson said his colleague may have lost weight but "is not getting any more from his Mrs so what's the point".
