David Platt has been seen on the cobbles since way back in 2000
Coronation Street fans have lamented the soap's 'biggest mistake' after a former star shared an update regarding David Platt. David, played by Jack P Shepherd, has been a huge part of the soap's cast since 2000, having joined when he was just 12 years old. Over the years, Jack has been at the centre of some of the programme's most dramatic storylines. Arguably his most emotional performance aired in 2016, when David's wife Kylie Platt was murdered in the street.
Paula, 38, took to Instagram on Wednesday night to share a photo of herself and Jack, as David and Kylie, as they filmed some promotion for a special live episode of Corrie back in 2015. Paula is laughing in the photo, as Jack is stood with his arm around her. Captioning the update, the actress said: '9 years ago filming our promo for the Corrie live ep. @jackpshepherd88'.
