The Coronation Street icon has found love again following her split from her husband of 20 years
Wendi left Doctors earlier this year Earlier this year, Coronation Street legend Wendi Peters revealed she had found new love after splitting with her husband of 20 years. The 56-year-old, best known for playing Cilla Battersby-Brown on the soap, is dating carpet fitter Gareth Wale and has documented her new romance online. During Easter the couple went on a romantic trip to Cotswolds as Wendi shared loved-up snaps on Instagram.

I was used to all that. ‘Because we have a lot less regulars, we’re all busier, which I quite like, I’m a bit of a workaholic so I am really enjoying it.’ Speaking about her highlights on the daytime soap, Wendi revealed that her first episodes were the standout moments.
