Coronation Street viewers were left in tears after watching an episode of the ITV soap which focused entirely on Paul Foreman trying to come to terms with his Motor Neurone Disease
Coronation Street fans were left reaching for the tissues following Paul Foreman's heartbreaking storyline.
Last week, he received a devastating blow when a nurse informed him that it was no longer safe for him to use the stairlift to leave his flat. On Friday , the soap aired a special episode dedicated to him, showing viewers the harsh reality of living with MND. However, things took a heartbreaking turn when Paul, realising his speech was deteriorating, told Billy it was time for him to end his life. Despite being heartbroken, Billy agreed to fulfil Paul's request.
The uncles agreed, and the children stayed over, putting a halt to Paul's plan. The next morning, however, Paul revealed he wasn't ready to go through with it yet, leaving Billy relieved.
