The soap star paid tribute to the storyline with the update
Coronation Street fans were delighted as David Neilson featured in a rare social media update. The soap star is renowned for his role as Roy Cropper on the Cobbles. The legendary character has been through a difficult period in the Cobbles after he was accused of Lauren Bolton's murder. Although Roy was cleared of the crime, he has continued to be targeted with abuse in Weatherfield. The stress of it all led to the character suffering a panic attack as he was rushed to hospital.
Away from the screen, David keeps his private life away from the limelight as he does not have a social media channel and is rarely seen out in public. However, his former co-star has broken the trend as she paid reference to the storyline with an update last night. Melanie Hill played Roy's onscreen partner, Cathy Matthews, from 2015 to 2022. She shared a snap of their reunion yesterday and joked how Roy is rejuvenated after his trip to the seaside.
