An ITV Coronation Street cast member appears to have accidentally leaked a major storyline bombshell about Gail Platt's upcoming exit from the soap - and it's a real tear-jerker
A Coronation Street star has seemingly let slip a huge spoiler about Gail Platt's highly anticipated exit storyline. Earlier this year, fans were left in shock when it was announced that Helen Worth, who portrays Gail, would be leaving the soap after an incredible 50 years. While the producers have kept details under wraps, they've hinted at a heart-wrenching farewell for the character.
Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey, shared a sneaky peek behind the scenes on her Instagram Story. Caught during a late-night filming session, Channique captured the famous street, quipping: "Nothing like a night shoot to make you regret dancing until 2am," along with a crying emoji, reports the Daily Star.
At present, the home is occupied by Gails son David Platt, with wife Shona and their children Max and Lily living there too. Elsewhere, Gails other children, Nick Tilsley and Sarah Platt, have all found their own nests with their respective offspring.
