Tonight’s dramatic instalment of Coronation Street saw the Platt family home go up in flames, with several residents caught up in the blaze. Prior to the fire being started by a mystery assailant, Toyah Battersby was knocked unconscious in the kitchen by Abi Webster , who was suffering an hallucination.
What happened in the fire at the Platt’s house? When Max and Shona attempted to get out of the burning building, they found that the door had jammed shut. Though Shona managed to force her way out, the door slammed shut behind her, leaving Max trapped inside. Out on the street, Shona tried to catch her breath enough to tell David Platt that Max was still trapped inside. Moments after Shona broke the news, the house was rocked by an enormous explosion, with Max seemingly still inside.
